Highways Getting Fixed

Last month we set a challenge: Fix duplicate nodes appearing in the most “important” levels of the highway infrastructure. At that time there were 7,414 errors. Today, there are 1,462 – a drop of almost 6,000 or 80% – well done everyone!

To really feel how dramatic this reduction in errors is, here’s an animation showing each error as a small red dot over the period of about a month until now:

All these were fixed at a very impressive rate, as shown in a more conventional graph:

Graph of the number of "important" duplicate nodes over about a month.

That’s about 220 nodes fixed every day, leaving only a handful in North America, Western Europe and Australia. But there are still places on the map which need your help; Brazil, Greece and South Korea could all do with some duplicate-fixing love :-)

Congratulations to everyone whose hard work fixing-up the map has made this possible and we’ll be posting a new challenge soon.
